Leominster Youth Project offers a base for young people aged between 11-25 to come and plan their own activities with the support of experienced people. We try to keep an up to date list of existing activities relevant to Young People. The project is run for young people by young people but it will only succeed if you use it. We will listen to what you have to say, and are working along side other services so you can get the help, support and advice you need. So if you have any ideas or you are bored call in and find ways of making things happen To reply to this message, submit your message using the form at the bottom of the page

Its hard to begin. First of all, thanks a lot to all those who made two years out of my place like being at home. I must join David (I guess he is David San Cristobal, or Chuky, as we knew there) saying that many people was kind to us, and that we tried our best to live togther. I apreciate a lot the efforts made by some people for making our staying much better. Its also a great relief tha Alan is still working in his youth project. Sorry man, but i had to leave. I saw it when it wasn´t more than a dream. I still keep the newspaper piece where it first appeared. Im proud saying that I attended the birth of it in the Blue Note. Thanks for this web, so we can have news from our second home. Now I need a huge favour. I would like somebody to take my email to the Blue Note and telling Sue or Jan that their spanish Cousing has not forgot them, and handing them my Email adress, that is, fanpire@telefonica.net Thanks again, for being my family for nearly two years (and sorry for the misspelling... It has been ages since i last wrote in English) To reply to this message, submit your message using the form at the bottom of the page

Martina, Canberra, Australia - 15/03/2002 02:47:01
I have just read about the closure of the pool and I have to say I am really upset! I learned to swim there, along with thousands of others. What is wrong with Herefordshire Council? They seem to be intent on ruining the spirit of Leominster people. First the parking charges and now this. What next? I was home about 7 months ago and that pool was fine. In fact, one of the pools I go to here in Canberra is more worse for wear than Sydonia ever was. These councillers need a damn good kick up the backside. MISS jones, - 14/03/2002 22:26:13
what a shame that the local pool has had to close! as hereford is the nearest im wondering how many people, young and old are supposed to continue a healthy pastime that swimming is.As a mother of two i know how dissappointed my children, and all their freinds are.i can understand that for health and safety the pool had to be shut but surely these were problems long known about and could have been recterfied or at least had money raised to ensure the continous running of a safe swimming pool.if someone had only had the brains to have included a swimming pool in the new sports centre when it was built then it would have saved alot of unnessacery greif NOW!!!!!! Anthony Vale, Canberra, Australia. - 07/03/2002 06:58:48
I have ancestors born in Leominster and other parts of northern Herefordshire - Bromyard, Humber, Edwin Ralph and so on. The family left the country in about 1830s to move to London, and in 1852 left London to sail to Victoria at the height of the g rush, where they prospered in the towns of Castlemaine and Ballarat. I am interested in members of the Vale, Williams, Kinsey and Tayler Vale in Northern Herefordshire from the 1850s and before. I particularly want to find the birth details of John Vale, born near Bromyard, c. 1808 died Victoria in 1864, and his father, Thomas Vale. I have visited Leominster twice and found it a very attractive place. Thanks. To reply to this message, submit your message using the form at the bottom of the page

I am trying to trace the descendants of John williams family. John was born in Leominster in 1864. His wife was Elizabeth. The went to live in Southport and he owned a tobacconist shop. He had 3 children. Charles, jack and Robert. One of the sons died in the war. I believe they are related to the Hughes family. My interest is family history.
