Paws for Thoughts Dog Display Team...
Providing excellent entertainment for all ages, this "all breeds" team includes a Jack Russell, Doberman, Lhasa Apso, Whippet, Miniature Schnauzer, GSD, Rottweiler, Boxer, Vizsla, Pointer, Collie, Labrador and Kelpie. Be amused by our dog races, fun agility, unusual retrieves, tricks and exceptional commentary, delivered in a relaxed and entertaining style. Be amazed by dogs jumping through fire, performing with the aid of "the magic box", a dog recognising and retrieving coloured articles, plus a Jack Russell ladder walking! Be impressed by the short, snappy obedience routine, which shows what can be done with family pets, which are mostly rescue dogs, performed to accompanying music. Now including Flyball Agility Races, where as many children as possible are invited into the arena to cheer for their chosen team, and prizes are given to the team who cheer the loudest. Child and adult participation, including games and tricks is encouraged, culminating in a "meet the dogs and team" session.
The team have appeared at Crufts', Discover Dogs, Pets Pets Pets, Animal Road Show, Three Counties, Royal Welsh, Royal Bath & West Show, Britains Got Talent, Alan Titmarsh show, Who let the dogs out and Paws in the Park. and similar prestigious events. You'd be barking mad to miss it!
Two 30 minute shows will take place in the afternoon on The Grange. Times 12pm and 1.45pm
Free Cookery Demonstrations will take place at The Mortimer Country Kitchen at Grange Court:
11am - Andy Link, chef from The Riverside Inn, Aymestrey. Andy will host a 45 minute demonstration using locally sourced ingredients.
1.15pm - Jane Raven, chutney extraordinaire from Myrtle's Kitchen. Jane will show you what you can make out of the leftovers in your fridge and cupboards!
2.30pm - Andy Offer, Whyle House Lamb. Andy will provide a butchery demonstration.
On top of this we will have entertainment from the fantastic vocalist Keri Hoffman in Corn Square at 11.15am
And Barber & Manuel will host a range of tastings from local producers and advice sessions throughout the day.
